Free COVID-19 testing will be available in Gladwin County on Friday, Jan. 22.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Beaverton Fire Department, 4278 M-18, anyone can stop by for a test, even without symptoms, and those with high-risk jobs are encouraged to attend. The tests will be diagnostic — no antibody tests will be available.
It will be a drive-through clinic, so everyone is asked to stay in their vehicle and avoid bringing pets.
No appointment, screening or doctor’s note is needed but minors must be accompanied by an adult. Make sure to bring an ID or paper work with your name and address on it.
Attendees can save time and register ahead by visiting http://honumg.info/BeavertonFireHall. You will be taken to a form to fill out electronically with your name, date of birth and email address. Otherwise, registration is available on site.
There will also be flu vaccines available for distribution on site. Bring a photo ID and insurance card — the full cost of the flu shot is typically covered by most private insurances, Medicare and Medicaid.
