Health officials warn of measles exposure in Livingston County

People are being warned to watch for symptoms of measles after a Livingston County woman is believed to have exposed residents at multiple locations in Livingston and Washtenaw counties.

The Livingston County Health Department confirmed a case of measles, a highly contagious, airborne disease, in the adult woman, who lives in Livingston County and works in Washtenaw County.

On Friday evening, the LCHD released a list of Livingston County locations the woman had visited while contagious. Anyone who visited the locations during dates and times provided should monitor themselves for rash with fever or other symptoms consistent with measles for 21 days. If you suspect measles, seek medical treatment as soon as possible.
