Can you get sick with more than one respiratory virus at a time?

It is possible to get sick with more than one respiratory virus at the same time. This includes being sick with flu and COVID-19. It is also possible to be sick with multiple flu viruses, like influenza A and B, at the same time.

Thankfully, it is easy to get protection from multiple diseases in one trip, as there is no waiting time necessary between vaccines. Scientific studies during the last three years indicate that it is safe to get both a flu vaccine and a COVID-19 vaccine at the same visit. Coadministration of flu vaccines and the new RSV vaccines was also found to be safe in clinical trials.
